We really like building websites with StaticPages that are progressively enhanced but might also have the addition of serverless functions along with a modern build and deployment pipeline.

Progressive Enhancement - is a way of thinking about how you can build websites with a resilient layer which will work in a range of current or older browsers that you want to support. You then progressively enhance the website with newly released features that may not currently as yet be supported by all browsers.

Allowing your users that are using updated or newer browsers to get the extra more modern and polished experience, while not affecting the experience for those users who are on older browser versions.

The StaticPages and Jamstack architecture is scalable and reliable it can also be a great platform to build on for Progressive Web App (PWA).

Progressive Web App are unlike a traditional website which may not have resources on a user's device when they are not accessing the website, as Progressive Websites are installed within their browser. Another way of viewing them is a website that you install and then it interacts with server side API's of your website.

At JasmineDesign we have been focussed on Web development for a number of years. We have seen the pain points in setting up and running a website over and over again. Which has made us very keen to remove the ongoing problems and provide clear information about the tasks and steps in owning a website and keeping it up to date.

With so many new technologies coming along on a weekly basis, it can be hard to know how to start a project, or which feature you should be adding.

We take a very pragmatic view on new features and solutions which boils down to, how does it deliver value and how does it fail? Not only for us, but also how would it leave our users? Which is hopefully not with just a white screen or error message.

We have always been keen for publishing to be as easy as possible and available to the largest number of people. When working or designing a website we feel that its always important to have the user in mind, then the task in hand.
