Services for Static
& Documentation Websites
Modern Static Workflow
Our focus
We have been designing, building, supporting and hosting websites for a long time. Which has allowed us to work with a wealth of web technologies over the years, giving us a lot of insight into areas companies often find hard to solve, or why their projects have stalled or majorly under performed.
We regularly found this fell back to either a problem with updating software or editing content.
This focused us to provide a clear workflow from day one, with defined clear steps. So we built JorvikPage to cover the delivery of Modern Static Websites, which we feel are great for marketing and very well suited for bringing documentation to your customers
Static Site Generator
A Static Site Generator (SSG) is a great solution for building a website as it allow you to focus on your content which is then passed into the SSG to be merged with a common template and configuration which results in a deployable website. This outputted website can then be automatically deployed to your hosting. Any updates to the content will spark this automatic deployment pipeline to deploy this site again.
Static Site Generator with Headless CMS
Adding a Headless CMS allows you to store or manage your content using the CMS admin features this means you can edit your data with a web form, instead of directly editing Markdown. Headless CMS are available that can store content within a GitHub repository or a database.
Headless CMS can be a great solution if you have a number of content editors. As each user then has a user account within the Headless CMS. Again this can be deployed using an automated deployment pipeline.

Documentation Systems Static Workflow
Documentation Systems
With so much software being used each day within businesses of every size. Documentation is really important to keep users happy and working but its no good having great documentation if its out of date. The user could be part of your company or one of your customers.
A Document builder allows you to have a set of content files that are merged with a common template and configuration file at build time to produce a deployable website. This can be automated further with a deployment pipeline to keep the hosted website version updated. A key feature to this is that your content files are under version control allowing you to keep a clear history of updates over time.
Documentation Systems with Headless CMS
Adding a Headless CMS allows you to have a larger number of content authors defined. Plus it offers the ability to edit the documentation content using the CMS admin features and forms. You will also be able to choose to store the content within a database or GitHub repository. Any update from within the CMS would lead to the automated deployment pipeline updating the hosted website.
We cover documentation builder's in more details on our Docs services page.
Along with each stage in more details on the Build - Edit - Deploy pages.

Serverless Functions, GitHub Actions & Static Hosting
We are able to offer a full development and support service, covering Serverless Functions and GitHub Actions to automate common tasks or to respond to an incoming request. This can result in reducing time in tasks like, resizing images or to offer dynamic features to your website like responding to a form action.
You can also automate testing using Playwright which can act as a gate keeper, making sure you are not shipping problems into production. Any bug that can be caught in development is much cheaper to solve than if found later on in production.
We are also able to offer full support in getting you setup and deployed on most static hosting platforms.
If you have a problem to solve or an idea to explore reach out using our contact us page to see how we can make it come to life.
Pricing
Each Website project is different, be that the requirement for extra features, or the scope of debugging a problem to solve an issue. Though we understand people like to see pricing outlined.
- Building a Website would likely be more than £1000 depending on the defined requirements
- Custom Web Development would likely be more than £200 upwards depending on the defined requirements
- Support starts at £36 per hour (Smallest billed unit is 1 Hour without a support contract)
- Ongoing support or maintenance contract costs would be worked out once our role is defined, this would be our hourly rate x time booked - Discount rate if large hourly blocks are booked.
However we are always very happy to define a tailored and honest cost based off a defined requirement. We feel this is a much better approach for both of us. Yes we can provide a fixed cost or variable cost outline dependent on your wishes.
